Need Help in Front Panel Audio

The front panel audio wire of my cabinet has 2 heads→1.Intel HD Audio 2.ALC'97
Currently i am using Intel Hd audio obviously on Intel mobo
But Msi mobo which i am getting to replace my current mobo has ALC'892 Audio codec
When i use Alc'97 with my current intel mobo the Realtek audio manager shows Front panel Mic in even there is nothing.
So cleary it doesnt work
My question is will Msi mobo with Alc 892 audio work with cabinet wire of Alc'97 ???

And also my current intel mobo also has Alc892 audio.

Solution
Intel High Definition Audio (also called HD Audio or Azalia) is a specification for the audio sub-system of Personal Computers. It was released by Intel in 2004 as successor to their AC'97 PC audio.

ALC'892 Audio codec is HD Audio.

Your 1)Intel HD Audio 2)ALC'97 case wires are there so if your using an old motherboard you can use AC'97. You should just not connect te AC'97 line.
