I honestly don't mind graphics, I've been playing on the lowest settings all my life, just to make it playable with the on board graphics. I just would like to know if the GTX 660 (already bought) will last me and let me play games even if it means playing at the lowest settings at 60 fps. Will it at least get 60 fps for the upcoming games in next year or two, if I bump the quality down to lowest settings.

Solution
Here is a bench showing the 660 with current gen and some previous gen games.
Most programs are shown with multiple quality levels at different resolutions. It should give you a good ballpark idea of games.

I've used a 660 in my gaming computer for nearly a year now and love it. Most games run at high quality with most options on/medium or high at 1080p. Nvidia has a nice optimization program that comes with their 'geforce experience' that can automatically configure settings of popular games based on your system specs which takes a lot of guesswork out of the equation.
