I've had this buzzing or humming since I've purchased this computer. The humming can be heard by other people while Skyping or using other VOIP applications like Ventrilo and I can also hear it when I enable device listening from my windows or sound card settings.

I've had a Creative XtremeGamer for years and even with this computer, I never had a problem with it. No buzzing. When it stopped working, I had to deal with either onboard or this steelseries USB that I had from the Siberia V2s. I tried the Realtek Onboard sound card and it just sounded awful as it was the first time I had heard that buzzing.

So I tried the USB sound card. It was OK.. Sound was decent and there was no buzzing. About a year later, I got this Sound Blaster Z and the sound has been just amazing.. however.. the buzzing came back. The only way I found to turn it off is by using Noise Suppression but that makes my voice sound muffled and people can barely hear me... The Siberia microphone is already pretty underpowered as is.

I've read that it could be the power outlet that isn't properly grounded but I know nothing about electrical stuff. However, the buzzing was no longer present during the first couple of days after I purchased Siberia Elites.

It wasn't present last night but it came back this morning. I've researched this issue for a long time without getting any real results. I'm turning to this community hoping to at least find the cause of the issue... maybe even a solution.

So I watched a video on youtube saying that the powerbar might be the issue... so I decided to plug it into the wall socket (not permanent.. I know.. bad idea)... and there is no more humming sound! Now.. what does this mean? Should I change my powerbar? If so, what powerbars would you suggest?
