CPU Temps on a gaming pc

My CPU is an fx-6300 and is being cooled by a hyper 212 evo with cooler master thermal paste (the purple label and orange cap)m while running facebook and this forum im getting temps of 15-25 degrees Celsius and when i play tf2 i get temps that go from 45 - 50 degrees Celsius with facebook running in the background.

Are these good temps? and if not what could my problem be?

those are fine temps. amd chips don't report their real tiemp thill there is any kind of load on them. the 15c is a lie. the 50c is right and thats fine, ~62 is the max temps.

What kind of temps will i see on more demanding games? Im worried that my cpu isnt going to be able to remain under 60 while playing a game like planetside 2.

play them and see. tf2 might be rather cpu demanding even though being an older game and newer games more gpu demanding and thus no real increase in temp.

The 6300 should idle at 35-40C and run at 50-60C. Anything above 60 is considered unsafe. You are running at the low end of the spectrum, putting you in a good spot.

If your CPU reaches an unsafe temperature it will automatically shutdown to prevent damage, no worries.

AMD CPUs tend to run rather hot, mine shuts down at 81.5C (although you shouldn't get close to that number). You have a good cooler so you should be able to run any game thrown at you without overheating.
