Hello there! I have asked this question several times but to no avail. I have an AMD FX-6300 overclocked to 4.2GHz. When I'm playing Battlefield 4, I get FPS drops into the low 30's/high 20's - This is unacceptable and I want to know why it's doing this.
The task manager only reports a maximum of around 60% CPU usage when playing on a full 64 player server, why isn't it using more?
I don't think I'm being held back by my graphics, I have a £300 AMD Radeon R9 290.
I am running the AMD 13.30 drivers, please don't tell me to install "Mantle" with the 14.1 drivers as I already tried that and it resulted in system lockups and loading screen freezing.
System Specs:
AMD FX-6300 @4.2GHz
8GB Kingston HyperX Blu 1600MHz
Powercolor AMD Radeon R9 290
Corsair CX750M
Antec GX700
Windows 8.1 Pro 64bit
2x 500GB Western Digital SATA hard drives.
Battlefield 4 is installed the 64bit folder. Graphics settings are at the Ultra preset - which I thought my relatively powerful PC should be able to handle.
Any Ideas?
Thomas
Thanks.
