Do I need to use the red washers or not?

Solution
My guess is they are there to prevent the screws from shorting to the top of the motherboard, or more likely, to prevent users from over tightening the screws and digging into the motherboard. You can do either really, mine lack washers and my rig is going strong.

I've seen people saying that these are needed, and others saying they're pointless.
They go onto the screws that mounts the motherboard.

If it comes with the motherboard, then I think it's intended to be used.

Picture isn't working but if they come with the standoffs, they are probably there to prevent shorts, though standoffs already do that.

Some searching says it's optional. If it boots, there is no problem. Your choice really.

They came with my case, and the case has metal standoffs.

Thanks for the help guys.

I'm not going to use them, as they came with the case. They would have come with the MoBo itself if they were needed, right?

I've never seen anyone use these before, so it's probably safe to say that they're optional.
