Thank you for the reply. i image the hard drive to another computer of same kind cause the dvd drive is not working. When you put it to another repurb laptop it works. when you place it back on the original it.wont start. i re image it with operating cd. Windows cd and cd drivers. I suspect the unit it self was the isssue. Cause when hard drive place to other unit the image harddrive works.currently when [place back to the original unit. it goes to cycle and windows wont start at all. thanks again.

Is the other computer identical model as yours or just similar? If it's not identical it won't work, and in either case you need to re-activate Windows using the key off the laptop you installed the drive on.

If the DVD drive is not working, you can make a USB setup off the Windows disk, or just replace the drive, they are cheap.

Check the BIOS, make sure the hard drive mode is set to the same as on the system you did the image on. ATA or AHCI.
