Hey guys. I am looking into improving performance in Battlefield 4 multiplayer. I am getting 10-20fps on medium/high with terrible screen tearing/shuttering with my current specs, and I am told it is mainly due to my dual-core processor. I know my card is not the issue, and 4gb ram is enough, so I'm sure it's the processor. I understand my build not the best, but I should at least get a solid 30fps on medium, right? Here is the processor I'm looking into getting. It's the best FM2 I can find for the price. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113348

I've listed my specs below for your review.

Specs
Graphics: Radeon HD 7850 2GB
Ram: G.SKILL 4GB
CPU: A4-5300 Trinity 3.4GHz
MOBO: FM2 AMD A55 Micro ATX

I appreciate any suggestions that you can give, thanks. =)

It should be 50fps Medium on MP. The CPU will help extensively in MP compared to campaign.

yep bro. surely it will improve ur BF4 performance since the processor u currently use is a dual core. idk if its bottleneck with ur current card but a nice quad core will surely boost ur performance in BF4 multiplayer plus other games that utilize more core. Also mke ur rig more future proof. ;)

hope this help. :)

as expected since BF4 multiplayer really utilize more core to process especially with really large map. :D all the best with ur new quads. :bounce:

Actually, I can run campaign on Ultra at about 30-40fps with no trouble. But multiplayer at around 5-10 ultra.

Here's a guys build who gets 40fps on high in MP:
Radeon 7850 2gb
Intel i5 2320 3.3Ghz
CM Hyper TX3 Evo
Kingston 16Gb HyperX Red
Kingston SSDnow 300 120Gb
Asus P8Z77-V LX2
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB

So yes it's possible and likely.
