What PSU should I get to run a XFX Radeon HD7770?

I just picked up the XFX Radeon HD7770 the GHz edition 2Gb ddr3, and was wondering what PSU I needed to run it. I currently have a 350w PSU in the computer now, but wasn't sure if that would be enough. I was also looking at the Corsair CX430 but wasn't sure on that either. Should I upgrade or not? Do I need higher than a 450w PSU for this card? I am on a budget and wouldn't really like to break the bank to much. Thanks and I look forward to a response.

PS on the box it recommends 500w PSU, but I have read many different things since its an older card.

The power draw of your Graphics card is a mere 80Watts. So pending on what else you want to put in your PC you should be fine. That being for example. A 90Watt CPU and say 100watts for a HDD, that being pretty generous you still have 130+ Watts.
You should be perfectly fine, only thing I would keep in mind is that if you wish to upgrade your PC in the future you may be capped by your PSU, for example the GTX 780Ti has a power draw of 250w.

    Best of luck.
  2. You will good with any 500watts+ psu as thats the minimum recommended watts for your gpu.
Here you go with one of the best psu from XFX made by Seasonic:

Second option would be: Seasonic G Series 80 Plus Gold and modular

My CPU will be using 95 watts, its the AMD Phenom X4 9650 and not to sure about the HDD but I don't plan to upgrade for a while and I will keep in mind that I would I have to upgrade the PSU first. So your thinking I should be fine?

Should be perfect. Sounds like your machine won't use more than 350w, with fans. As the previous person has shown there are Modular and certified PSU's for 4th Gen Intel CPU's.

Again you will be fine with the Corsair CX430.
