Is 60Hz vs 144Hz worth the buy for competitive gaming?

Hi! Would any one mind running me down with the difference if any with FPS and Hz, how great or negate the eye is at receiving both while keeping in mind I play CS:GO competitively.

I know this has been asked hundreds of times and I'm sorry for another re skinned thread but I did need some reliable feed back. Will be a change from 1080p 27" 66Hz (overclocked from 60Hz) to 1080p 27" 144Hz(BenQ)

Thanks for feedback!

If you are feeling any kind of lag or you aren't feeling that your display is providing you enough smoothness in frames, then it's worth a buy. Also if you are looking for 3D then you have to go with 120hz or 144hz. In normal situations, human eye finds hard hard to detect any fps more than 60, but in some cases you can feel the difference between if the fps was going above 60fps.
The difference is huge, both in terms of input latency and the smoothness of motion on screen. That said, I really don't think it helps much in terms of how good you are; if you are already good at games you'll still be, if you are already bad you'll still be bad.
