Hello My problem is unmountable boot volume vista in Vista home premium 32. my laptop is a Sony Vaio NR-338M. The startup repair screen which has command prompt memory diagnostic etc, doesn't start I get black screen with an arrow. or turquoise screen with an arrow. safe mode nothing last known good configuration noting.
I have made boot USB for vista using my copy vista ultimate upgrade. however the laptop just stops I wait and wait.

What should I do?

Any help appreciated.

Run the diagnostics on the system, you likely have a hardware issue, maybe with the hard drive.
Did you try reseating the hard drive in the case? If not, try that first. Also go into the BIOS and make sure the drive is seen and is in the list of the boot options. Set it as the first device and try it again.
