Hi. So yesterday I purchased a 4gb stick of PNY DDR3 PC3-10666 for my laptop, which already has the 4 gb RAM that came with it.
Now, I've doubled checked, and I know my laptop can hold up to 8 gb of RAM, so I'm confused as to why, when I put both sticks in, all I get is a black screen.
The WiFi light is on, and so is the fan and the CD drive. But nothing shows up.
Now, to make this even more odd, it was working last night. I installed the RAM, put it in as tightly as possible, and it worked beautifully. But today, it won't work.
I know that the RAM I bought works, as I've used just that stick in my computer with no issue. It's just using both of them gets me nothing.
