How many graphic cards can work on this Motherboard? Please Help

Hey guys;

Was wondering if it possible to add 1 to 3 more cards to my pc for mining? I have a Asus P7H57D-V EVO motherboard with a I7-875k @ 4Ghz processor and 1500w thermaltake thoughpower. Going to add a second psu for 1-3 new cards.

Motherboard has the following pcie:
2 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (single at x16 or dual at x8/x8 mode) one used, waiting for the other card to be placed here.

1 x PCIe 2.0 x1 (5GT/s, blue slot)
2 x PCIe 2.0 x1 (2.5GT/s, gray slots)

I have these three pcie x1 slots and am wondering if its possible to connect 1 to 3 cards on them will be powered from a separate psu.
I will be using a powered pciex16 to pcie x1 riser with the usb cables for ease of maneuverability of pc in case I need to move it for clean up or other reasons.

Checked manual and saw the IRQ assignments tried to read about but didn't get it.

If you can please shed some light that would grateful. :-*

More about graphic cards work motherboard
  1. your board can run 2 gpu's, yes it has more pci-e slots but there meant for addin cards for raid and ethernet.
    the other slots dont have the required bandwidth to run a gpu and get the best from it.
    so it would be a waste of time. even running 2 cards at x8 will slightly bottleneck the gpgpu performance adding in more pci-e will reduce that x8 even further as the cpu only has 16 lanes to share between all the pci-e sockets.
    if your semi serious about mining then either jump to 2011 socker or am3+ as both offer more pci-e lanes that aren't embedded in the cpu.
