ok so on ebay there is this ASRock 970 extreme4 motherboard for sale cheap and it ends soon. on pcpartpicker they are said to be compatible but it says i may need to update the BIOs. so will it work with the fx 8320 if i do?
yes, though with most 970 boards, if pcpartpicker's constant warning is anything to go by, you risk getting one with an out of date BIOS that's incompatible with the 8320. http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme4/?cat=CPU

It is compatible with the cardy . You will just need to update the bios. Sometimes a dealer may sell you motherboard with the outdated Bios that is why to be on the safer side, pc partpicker isuues the warning specified. The motherboard is compatible with the processor.

im buying it off ebay so to find out if the bios is up to date what do i ask the seller?
thankyou both of you. i have one last question, would this motherboard work 100% if the bios are up to date? or would it be better to get an ASRock 970 Extreme3 Motherboard R2.0?
