I have the mentioned router and I have some temporary problems in my wired DSL line in the area. So I'm trying to get the internet from my android hotspot and make my router connects to it and then distributes internet to other devices (wired and wireless).

I want to Know if there is any way to configure dlink 2730u to solve this situation?

thanks guys.

What you need is a device that can act as a client-bridge. Things that are sold as repeaters or wireless extenders have that feature. The device you have is a router only and does not have these other capabilities. Many times I would recommend trying a third party firmware to get the client-bridge feature but the router you have has DSL. It is almost impossible to get open source drivers for dsl so it is rare to see any support from the alternative firmware sites for dsl routers.

Ive thought of the same thing HEAPS. But hot spot works just off your mobile data. It cant hot spot the wifi connection and extend it. Your router could be configered to get better range, e.g. turning N on intead of b/g. Another idea is find another router and set it up so it bounces the signal. Either way the antenna cannot recieve and send at the same time. Its a hardware limitation

may be you are right I can't use the router for my wireless devices any more but at least I need it for wired devices (which are more important to me) and for the wireless devices I can connect to my hotspot.
the problem here is that I want to know if this model of router is able to do this or this is impossible using it.

and as I said before it is a temporary situation so I only need this solution from time to time.
so is there any hint how could this be done :)

thanks guys that helped me a lot...I've made another solution is to use a intermediate device to bridge this router through LAN and through usb tethering in the android device side..

thanks for your help.
