Hey I just bought some corsair vengeance vengeance ram (8gb) and I have been trying to slot it in, it goes perfect into the DIMM slot but the tabs don't close. I took out my old gskill Tridents a couple of days back when they died and I tried putting it back in but it had the same problem.

Please help.

Is this the first time building a PC?

Cause if so, it's possible that you actually aren't putting in the RAM. It takes quite a lot of power to push it in, and you should feel a click. Don't feel afraid to put some pressure on your stick.

make sure the notch in the middle lines up, and try pushing down on both sides together until you hear a click, and see the tabs snap up and lock it into place. if you are still battling try pushing in one side at a time.

when you say "old ram" how old are we talking? its not ddr2 or anything?

should definitely work, its a good system. maybe its because the others were in for so long... it should make a satisfying click when they go in, the last push is always the hardest, make sure the flaps can move up and down easily?
