Hello guys, i recently updated my PC, i got the Core i7 4770 and Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87 motherboard. I had to reinstall windows because the drivers for mobo were new and Windows 7 wasn't accepting previous drivers.

Everything was set up perfectly fine. I reinstalled BF4, through the first 3 matches i played they ran fine. The fourth match i played for 30 minutes and it was completely fine. I got bored and decided to quit the game. When i quitted, as you know in BF4 when you quit you go back to the black screen with the loading sign and then the game exits, i reached that black screen and after a few seconds my PC restarted, i logged into Windows again without any problems but i received an error report like, Blue Screen and some file that caused it, i didn't notice what file it was, neither did i see any blue screen. It just went black and my PC restarted.

After that i played about 3 more matches and i had no problems. Any idea why my PC restarted and i received a Blue Screen Error report?. I updated to new Nvidia drivers, and ran Virus scan, no infected files. However, i ran Malwarebytes for malware check and 19 files were infected with malware which i deleted as well.

Any idea on the PC restarting and that Blue Screen error report?. Thanks.

My PC's specs:

CPU: Core i7 4770 @ 3.40 GHz
GPU: MSI GTX 680 Twin Frozr III, 2GB
Mobo: Gigabyte G1 Sniper Z87
PSU: Gigabyte Greenmax 650W

Thanks.

Solution
If you really want to investigate the problem you need to read the minidump files. You can read more about how to here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315263/en-us

Usually the most common problem with blue screens is driver issues for the hardware. And usually for gamer builds it has something to do with the video card.. But of course that's not for sure.

Hello i am not able to post a screen shot, or i don't know how to lol, but i will write the contents of the blue screen error as it occurred again last night.

Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

BCCode: 3b
BCP1: 00000000C000005

Then it continues to BCP4, i don't that's important, in the end it says

Files that help describe the problem:

C:\Windows\Minidump\022114-24850-01.dmp
C:\Users\Ibrahim\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-14495332-0.sysdata.xml

Any idea what this weird problem is? lol Thanks.

Hello.

I had a very similar problems to your.
Whenever i had exited assassins creed 4 it bluescreens.
Mine got fixed when i reset the bios to its original settings because my bio was giving my cpu too much power.
Maybe you can try that?

I also had a blue screen a few tmes when exiting BF4. I think I had it two times in all the time I've played BF4 (almost since release date). If it only happened one time for you I wouldn't put too much into it. It's not a bad idea to update your BIOS though if you haven't already.

You're right, i used the Bluescreenview to read the minidump files and it says,

Bug Check Code: 0x000003b
Caused by driver: win32k.sys
Crash address: ntoskrnl.exe+71f00

It has something to do with kernel i don't know, but you're right that my video card drivers might be the problem. Because today i uninstalled my drivers then reinstalled a previous version from the latest drivers and while installing the screen blinked and the error showed that Nvidia Kernel Mode has stopped working, however i closed it and the installation resumed. I haven't encountered a Bluescreen after that yet. I have downloaded the latest drivers but i haven't installed them. I'm thinking i will uninstall the current drivers and then run a clean install for the latest drivers. Do you think i'm getting near to the solution?.
