Hi guys, first time posting:

Posting this here but I think it's an overall system issue. Anyways...

Recently, I upgraded my motherboard, gpu, psu and processor.

With my previous setup, I encountered two problems:
1. System would remain on a black screen and would get stuck there. No BIOS or mobo logo, just a black screen. Sometimes it would boot if I left it off and unplugged for an hour+. Sometimes only a minute unpowered would do the job, and other times if I simply powered it off then IMMEDIATELY re-powered it, the computer would get past the black screen. The point being, it just seemed to be very temperamental

2. Finally it wouldn't power up at all, and that's when I found my excuse to upgrade my rig

Presently I have my new parts installed, but it's now doing the same thing! Since the GD65 has LED error indicators I have a 'better' idea of where it's stalling - error code 62 which I believe pertains to "initialising the south bridge"

Last night I shut down the PC (connected to the mains). It wouldnt start in the morning. When I got home this evening, it still didn't boot. I removed and reseated the GPU in different PCI-E slots and checked the connections. Still no dice. Then I kept it in the first PCI-E slot and did the whole "turn-it-on-turn-it-off-turn-it-back-on-in-quick-succession" and that got it to boot.

My question is: what can be causing it? Hardware? Software? I really don't know.

Originally, I did take Version 1.0 to a PC shop and asked them to specifically test the hardware. They came back to me and said that everything was fine. I dont know how rigorous they were but I took them at their word since the problem disappeared briefly. Of course, life being what it is, the problem came back shortly after that.

Now I'm kinda afraid to turn off the machine cause I'm dreading being unable to get it to boot again. :(

Specs:
i5-4670k
z87-gd65
4gb G.skill RAM
120gb Samsung SSD (other HD wasnt found by the BIOS so it's out of the case atm)
750w Akasa PSU

Does anyone have an idea?

Getting really frustrated coming home from a long shift then having to fiddle with it for an hour or so

Plugged in the older card now. this one boots up fine
Id say the new card only boots up like 2/10 time if im lucky. Mustve done it 30 or 40 times
