Hi guy's,

Just a little help with this info result I got from doing a HDD scan please.

I scanned my Seagate HDD with both CrystalDisk and HDD Tune and both confirmed the following .......

Reallocated Sector Count - Caution

Current - 100
Worst - 100
Threshold - 36
Raw Values - 0000000007

Can anyone explain the severity of this? its not changed and got worse, basically remained the same.

I did do a drive fix with Seagate software and it said it completed and that the drive was a pass but the other two software's still had it listed as a yellow caution.

Any info would be great and I will be giving best answer, thanks.

all drives over time get bad spots. when that happens the drive controller masks it out. when the drive is first formatted from the factory the hardware (low level makes a defect list). when the defects grow it called a glist. If the raw number grows in a year then it would be time to start an rma.

not too bad if u compare it with total sector a HDD has,..

As long it don't grow then it's fine, even bad sector is fine as long it not growing....

edit: anyways don't put important data there and do regular backup.....
(most of the time u will notice when it start failing/growing but better safe than sorry)
