I am hoping I can replace one part at a time and still have a running unit. My guess is I should start with a decent Mobo and RAM?

Approximate Purchase Date: I will have about $70 a month to put into this build. Completion date; Eventually..

Budget Range: I would like to keep it under a grand all in.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: surfing the internet, Jukebox, Editing Video for short clips put to music (YT), Processing data-monitor stocks; spreadsheets etc, Gaming-WOW;
Assassin's Creed;
Battlefield 4 if I can manage it.

Are you buying a monitor: No, I have a 50" LG plasma 1024x768. I have wireless Mouse/Kayboard as well.

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, mobo, RAM, Power Supply, OS, Everything really

Do you need to buy OS: Yes but not right away. I have install disks for Lynux I might be able to use.
Windows 7 or 8. Upgrade to 8.1 is free, I am happy with either one.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.ca, Amazon.ca, Ebay.ca Any place in Canada really.

Location: Victoria BC Canada.

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe eventually.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1024x768,

Additional Comments: Still pricing parts but would like to have a running unit in less than six months.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I want my PC to run Fast! 16GB RAM disk should help, with an SSD. Intel i7-3770k would be nice but i5 will have to do.

Parts Preferences:

I like this case, needs more 3.0 USB ports though:
