Hi, I am new here so sorry if there is already an answer out there which I could not find. I am having problems booting up my new M5A97 PRO motherboard.
I am using an Athlon ii x2 240 and when i press the on key the fans start spinning but there is a red CPU led and there is no display on my monitor.
Here's the thing, it will only start when my 6pin connector is not inside the 8 pin connector but if it is connected it will not boot at all.
Also my GPU fan is not spinning at all but there isn't any Red led to signify that.
Help would be much appreciated! thank you
I personally think that i need it to be an 8 pin connector so i would need an adapter for it? Am I right in thinking that?
