Well, just because there's no "dedicated" VRAM doesn't mean your PC doesn't have some RAM somewhere in use. If you had 0 VRAM available (dedicated or shared), you wouldn't get any picture at all.

So, what kind of system do you have: CPU, integrated GPU, motherboard, & RAM? That'll determine whether the game can be played or not.

I assume then you're using an IGP. In that case it just depends on what you have. If you have a decent AMD fusion APU or even a newer intel chip you may be o.k. If you're using something older where the GPU is integrated into motherboard rather than the CPU then maybe not.

Please provide the make/model of your CPU, motherboard, amount of memory, and video card (if using something other than the integrated video), along with your Operating System so that we can give a better informed answer.

Different systems have different ways of handling hardware when it comes to memory. The PC or Mac may switch to using normal ram for video memory. Dedicated video memory means memory just for the video card only - system stuff may not be able to access it. That's why the graphics in games don't hog bucket loads of RAM.
