Using 500 W required GPU with 450 W PSU

Can I use Radeon 7870 GPU on my desktop PC with a 450 W PSU that came with the case? Requirement for the GPU is a 500 W PSU. If the answer is no and I still try to use the GPU with the before mentioned PSU, what can we expect to blow up from the two components to the point of non-functionality in the case I do so? PSU or GPU?

Im afraid you can't run that card on that PSU and be safe. If it was a good brand with at least bronze rating you might have had a chance but with a no name no chance. Sorry for you.

I see. Thanks for the answer. I guess that I will need to buy a new PSU as well along with the GPU whenever I do. Thanks again.
