Titan Fall feels like a port.

The beta of Titan Fall feels like a XBOX port over to PC. The movement feels like gliding. the Titans can be killed easy by just jumping on their heads and blasting away with the shotgun. It has a auto-aim, always a sign of a PORT.

Your in a big mech which is done very well. but one guy with a shotgun can take you out. The graphic are xbox like at the highest setting. It is worst than BF4 on low setting. The user can jump up walls and fly through the air like it is low gravity.

When I first tried the mech, I was going to buy the game. But after playing the online game for 3 hours. There is no way I would pay more than $9.99 for the game.

Gamespot did a good review which said it was fun but the dumb AI and other balancing issues really detracted. Basically what's been said here.

Unlike many MMO's, part of the world is computer-controlled with really, really stupid AI. For example, in the review he came across about FIVE soldiers and took them all down in seconds without getting hit once.

This was the very first MMO I was interested in playing but unless they address some of these issues forget it. There's so much HYPE especially with the launch of the XBOX ONE etc that I think people are going to be disappointed. It doesn't really have the depth of BF4, so I question just how long people will stay interested. Still, fingers crossed it turns out better...

It's going to...

In my opinion it was good, i don't think the shotgun is overpowered since you'll need to be at a very close range with your enemy pilot to be able to one-shot them. As for using "rodeo" on titans you know they have this electric smoke which forces pilots to jump away right? I don't use it because it works just fine to jump out of the titan and shoot him myself. Either way i found it balanced, and only the smart pistol has auto-aim and requires a lock-on.

Though one thing. IT USED OVER 4000MB OF VRAM. 4000MB! And i thought my R9 290 was enough. xD

The mechs do not appear to be made out of paper. If you shot a tank 100 times with a shotgun you may scratch the paint. One of the mechs is even called "Tank" yet you can kill the tank with a shotgun. That alone made me stop playing the game since the mech was the coolest part of the game. the rest is like a bad copy of COD 1.

You do realise Titanfall is a port right? I put about 6 hours into the game and wasn't all to thrilled with the game either but this was a beta and the reason they let people play it early is to balance and stress test things. I do agree the shotgun is a bit OP but the thing I hated the most was that stupid noob pistol that auto aimed. I got killed by that so many times and it doesn't even require skill. You point it and pull the trigger once and it can kill a pilot. Needs to be removed or heavily nerfed

It's going to be really tricky to balance this game right (not to hard, not too easy) but so far it looks to be too easy. I want a game that has a SINGLE PLAYER tutorial for learning at my leisure, then feel a challenge when I play the game with REALISTIC weapon damage. Too much to ask?

I got the information by simply running it myself. Titanfall used up almost everything. Though since i technically have 4096MB of vram is was just enough. Don't ask me why it does this. I didn't mind it.

Putting textures on "insane" will use over 3gb if it's avaliable.

If you played the beta, and tried to change the controls, you might have noticed that it may have been built/coded on a PC but that the beta release was meant for a XBOX because

#1 That's the controller that was shown in settings.

#2 That is the platform it will be pushed to first. (Most likely.)

The movement is supposed to be that way, and is one of the main selling points of the game. You think a game where you can "jump up walls and fly through the air" automatically makes it a console port? What kind of logic is this?

Things like terrible optimization, mouse smoothing, and mouse acceleration is what people usually mean when they say a game is a 'bad port', nothing to do with gameplay.

It is a port, it was made on a PC.

His reasoning is just off xD
