Hi Guys,

I can get rid of my "why not buying something you don't need" kind of thing after coming back to PC Gaming...

I am quite happy with my Zalman PSU for what I paid...however for the above reason I may want to upgrade things before I really need to (Despite I am not a fan of "I max everything out") so I wanted to get a new PSU which would allow me to have power for future upgrade in the years to come...

I saw the above for around 85 quid on Amazon, 730W considering that I don't like SLI (as I find it useless) it will always power 1 GPU + 1 CPU...

What do you think? Price is good and supposedly is a quite PSU too!

More about : quiet bqt 730w psu

Cant go wrong with seasonic.

Hmm this seems interesting I know that they are quiet too... my Zalman isn't too bad but the bloody fan spins all the time even in idle!

The price seems good too!

@ModernWarfare the concern was about the fact of being quite loud!

As great as tom's is, I have found that people here tend to stick to herd opinions about certain things. Need a cheaper cpu cooler? 212 evo. Need a psu? XFX. There is a reason that these items are highly regarded here, but other - often superior - hardware is disregarded and swept aside. I can say that I own the l8-630w and it is excellent. I don't think you'll regret buying the 730w. Be Quiet! is very good kit. Psus challenge anything in their price range and above, and their cpu coolers confidently trade blows with noctua.

Be quiet! PSUs are also very good, going for a lower wattage myself - BQT l8 CM 530w with low noise, all protections and very good testing results.

I would agree with the others, I have never seen an abundance of bad reviews for any Be Quiet! PSUs, each and every one has the odd bad apple though.

Im looking at a Be Quiet for my nas :)

That is how Apple sell its product at the end of the day

Yep I am reading a lot about PSU lately... I think the Seasonic above here isn't bad especially having the same price as the BeQuiet, the again there are always "bad apple" like you correctly said.

Toms has a very good sticky on power supplies. After reading and perusing the supplied tables on PSU builders, you will come to find that the majority of well recommended psu's like XFX and AX Corsairs are actually built by Seasonic, PC Power and Cooling and other excellent OEM suppliers, while others like the CX series of Corsair are built by Channel Well, a very good mid-grade supplier. The rest? I wouldn't trust my hard earned and expensive parts to a cheap off-brand with laughable quality control.
