Have just replaced the hard drive in my desktop PC - it calls for the operating system CD [Windows 7] but then doesn't seem to recognize [doesn't start up] the player

check to see if the drive in your pc is a cd rom only drive or has the dvd reader logo. also check that you have a windows os disk and not office cd. if you have to use the microsoft iso to usb tool and download from digital rivers a know good iso image.
