ASRock & Win7: front jack no sound --> Linux: sound is there!

Hi there,

Having terrible troubles (Windows 7 - 64-bit) getting my ASRock (H61M-DG3/USB3) to output sound through the front panel headphone jack. I've installed the official Realtek HD Audio Driver (onboard sound only -- Win7/x64 driver downloaded from the ASRock website), but it only seems to recognize the USB speakers that are connected.

The utterly strange thing is that both my Ubuntu and Linux Mint installations (triple boot) play sound through the speakers and the headphone jack!

I've got no idea as to what could be wrong here. Anyone a suggestion/idea leading me in the right direction? Many thanks in advance!

Kind regards,
Rob

Perhaps not written clear enough, but I downloaded (and installed) the driver from ASRock. But thanks anyway.
