I made the jump from Xbox 360 to a custom Steam Box this month. Here is my build:

It's all up and running and working well. I just don't know if I need to do any fine-tuning to get the best performance out of my GPU? I basically updated the drivers and thats it.
It can run Borderlands 2 at 1080p, but not high frame rates, and at any resolution I use it still has some strange artifacting in the middle of the screen when I move around.

Solution
Look through startup and make sure it's clean (you don't have programs loading unneeded snippets of the programs which take up DRAM, could also OC the CPU (biggest jump)
