what is cross fire and sli i had motherboard Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 Motherboard Rev 3.0 and it support dual graphic card can i buy two Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7790 OC 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card will my motherboard support those without any problem will my pc show 4 gb graphics will my performance increase or any thing can increase it is useless pls tell me i already had one gpu that sapphire one..

Cross fire is a technology which supports Multi-GPU on ATI cards, SLI is for Nvidia cards. Few motherboards support only 1 of those, but majority of motherboards support both technologies. The motherboard you mentioned supports 2way SLI and Crossfire.

so that means i can connect two same gpu or 2 diff gpu they will work or improve anything

It is always recommended to crossfire or sli same GPU but you can change the secondary GPU to an extent but it totally depends again on what primary you have and secondary should work along with that.
