I'm looking to overclock my fx6300 to a basic 4.1 just to get a hang of things. However, there are not a whole lot of videos or tutorials for the gigabyte 970a-Ud3p mobo. So if anyone has any experience overclocking with this mobo and the Fx6300 your help would be greatly appreciated.

-Thanks

Aren't there some overclocking options in the motherboard's BIOS like voltage and frequency? Instead of looking for overclocking with that specific board, should research what voltage you need to reach 4.1 GHz. You'll never know if you might need a voltage increase even just for that, cause lack of voltage / over voltage could possibly damage your components.

Heres the thing I don't know what controls what.I'm all new to the PC building world just built my first PC. So when it comes to voltage i don't know what controls the CPU frequency on the Mother board. I see things like CPU Vcore and BCKL or something of that nature and have no idea what to do with them. Also their is no multiplier a lot of videos i've seen have multipliers and target clocks this mother board doesn't have any of that stuff

What options does it have pertaining to frequency? Anything like clock speed? Does it even have overclocking options for RAM?

And if you're new to the PC Building world, why do you wanna overclock an already speedy processor so early?

I can't answer all of that off the top of my head since I'm currently in class. But, the reason why i want to overclock is just to do it as a learning experience. To put it simply I just want to know how to do it. But I'll get back to you on the other stuff later.
