Hey guys I plan on getting a hyper212 evo and OCing my 3570k. I know that every chip is different when it come to frequency vs heat, but what is a safe operating temperature? Running prime95, at what temperature should I stop the test and dial back my OC/voltage?

Solution
90C + is concerning. If it peaks just above 90C under prime or intel burn test then that is fine as you will never reach that kind of usage in the real world.

However you REALLY have to stay under 100C.

Keep in mind that your motherboard is an important factor too. If you pump too much voltage through a board(the cheaper the board, the lower you need to keep the voltage) you could very much write the board off.
