Motherboard & Memory compatabilty

I am using this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128514
And bought this Memory: http://www.amazon.com/G-SKILL-Ripjaws-240-Pin-Desktop-F3-17000CL11D-8GBXL/dp/B0050119O0/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1392921763&sr=1-3-fkmr0&keywords=G.skill+ripjaws+ddr3+2166

The Memory is 2133 but the motherboard supports up to 1866. This is a mistake on my part. I built my computer and the system won't POST, is this the reason?

Try with other memory, your mobo should support your memory in OC

Looks like my RAM is fine, I wonder if its the processor. Is there a way to verify the processor is or isn't the issue? I don't have a spare AM3+ socket board.

Check processor for bent pins. If there are no bent pins then 95% motherboard problem.

Your mobo supports upto 2000MHz. Your selection of RAM is ok. No matter what speed RAM you use, initially mobo defaults it at 1333MHz.
