New Build says SATA Port's Not Present

Just built a new system and trying to install windows7 from a usb drive, but the mobo won't recognize my 32gb Sandisk SSD. It's not the SSD bc I swapped it out for a 64gb SAndisk SSD and had the same problem. Can you guys offer any help?
