The i7 4820k is 60 euro cheaper, however I can save this money from the motherboard.
What to do? Pros of the LGA 2011 is the QUAD channel RAM and higher clock ram as well as 2mb of cache. But the setup is mainly for gaming.
The i7 4820k is a good deal the only thing pulling me back is the motherboard. I even heard you can overclock them much better and higher.
The setup is mainly for gaming and rendering, so yes I do want to go for either of these processors. Is it better to go for the 2011 or the 1150 socket?
If you are wondering if I will be doing SLI/Xfire, I will not be doing it right now but in the future I plan to. I expect this setup to last for at least 4 years. Whats the best choice?
Thanks
