So today I tried to do a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit via USB onto my new Samsung 840 Evo SSD. Everything went well, until stage 2 of the installation process which is 'Expanding Files'. The first time, it got to about 40% until an error message popped up (0x80070015) informing me that there were missing files. The second and third times I got error message 0x80070003, with the same description.
I've tried changing the SSD to IDE and AHCI to no avail.
The mobo is an Asus M5A97 R2.0 which has been working for a long time and the install went smoothly last time.
Has anyone got any clue as to what might be happening?
