I'm not sure what's causing this, but this is a 1TB Samsung Pinpoint F3 HHD.
The HDD is partitioned into three; 150GB for C, 780GB for D (games and medias), and 100GB for "System Reserved".
C has 12GB of free space and D has 46GB of free space at the moment.
When an application does anything that deals with many data reads, the application freezes until it's got its result most definitely due to a slow reading speed.
If I try to, say, search for an e-mail on my Thunderbird with a keyword, the application freezes for 5 seconds. This process usually takes as less than 1 second because the results come out in real time.
Here is my benchmarking result on reading:
As you can see on the graph there's definitely something wrong with it.
What causes this type of behavior? How would I be able to fix it?
