My budget for this build is about 900 pounds and I am just looking for recommendations on any of the parts that I've chose, since there is a lot and I might have missed one that has better performance for it's price. The sole purpose of this build is for gaming (Battlefield 4, ArmA 3, etc.).
The parts I've picked out so far are:
CPU - Intel i5 4670k (I was thinking about the i7 4470k but I read that that it would be overkill just for gaming?)
Mobo - ASUS Sabertooth Z87
GPU - ASUS 290 4GB
HDD - WD 1TB SATA III 6GB/s
SSD - Corsair 240GB
That already is around 850 pounds which is why I am considering using some of my old components in my current build, which are:
Smilodon Raidmax Black/Green case
16GB G.Skill DDR3-1600 (4x4GB)
750W PSU
(Maybe even use the 1TB HDD I have in there as well)
I would like to keep the 290, but don't want to end up going cheap on the processor and bottleneck the whole thing. My last build was an AMD processor so I'm not really too sure on Intel CPUs.
