Hey guys,

I recently wanted to upgrade my CPU to an Intel i3 4130 (chipset 1150). To do this I had to upgrade my motherboard to a Gigabyte B85M-HD3. I got all the components and installed them correctly, and when I turned my PC on, it got stuck in a boot loop. I thought this would happen with the incompatibility of ACHI and IDE, so I went into the BIOS Setting and changed the SATA Configuration to detect IDE. Thinking this would fix the problem, I turned my PC back on, but it was still in the boot loop.

I've run out of ideas now and have tried MANY different BIOS Settings and nothing seems to work.

If anyone has an answer, please help me, I am in dire need of this PC.

Thanks :D

P.S.
My PC Specs are as follows (Before upgrade)
Mobo: Gigabyte G41M COMBO
GPU: nVidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo
RAM: 2x 1GB of DDR3
HDD: Seagate 1TB HDD

Solution
Changing the motherboard requires at minimum repair of windows install or recommended a new one, the new board is having trouble running on the drivers for the old one.

[strike]Does your motherboard make any beeping noises? Any stop error codes? Have you tried booting with just one RAM in one DIMM slot, then the other? Without your GPU?

Edit: Oh. Yeah, I didn't even think of that...

What rolli59 said should fix your problem.

Yes, my motherboard beeps to turn on, and I can get to the screen where the light make the Windows logo, so my RAM is fine. As the graphical display of the lights starts to form the logo, THEN it crashes and loops. But thank you very much for replying :D
