I just installed a corsair G600 psu to power new graphics card. PSU will not power on when hooked to computer. Did paper clip test psu is good. Plugged old psu back in computer boots up. I have a MSI G31M3 V2 MB are they not compatible? If so what could be the problem?

Ok I have confirmed the PSU works with paper clip test and I was fiddling with it last night and got it to work hooked up to computer with components sprawled out on table. Stupid me unplugged everything and put it back in case and now it wont come on again. Everything is hooked up correctly, my ATX is very tight and hard to insert, pretty sure its in all the way.

This is probably a redundant question, but when you hooked up the new psu did you make absolutely certain that the main power and EATX 4-pin power connectors were completely and firmly seated/connected on the mobo? There should be NO compatibility issue.
If you check that out and try it again and it doesn't start, but still starts with the old psu, then there is a good chance the new unit is bad.
Call Corsair tech support: They are very good and they can help you. You might need to RMA it, either to the seller if it is still within their return policy or to Corsair.
The GS units are o.k psu's made y CWT(Channel Well Tech.)

They are a Tier 2 PSU, so should work well...

They are a Tier 2 PSU, so should work well and last a long time.
All that said, every manufacture has some bad units show up from time-to-time, and you may have gotten one.
Good luck, and let us know
