I have an old pc which was used by humans centuries ago.I am going send this boy to garbage can then buy whole new system in 4 or 6 months but for now I have to live with this boy.So I need advice...How can I make this boy at least walk while he is just crawling.PLEASE HELP MEE.....:\

here is my system summary

Mainboard : Gigabyte M720-US3
Chipset : nVidia nForce 740a SLI
Processor : AMD Athlon II X4 620 @ 2600 MHz
Physical Memory : 2048 MB (1 x 2048 DDR2-SDRAM )
Video Card : AMD Radeon HD 6570
Hard Disk : Western Digital WD5001AALS-00L3B2 (500GB)
Monitor Type : LG Electronics LG TV - 7 inches(not really... actually its like 42 inches)
Network Card : Realtek Semiconductor RTL8168/8111 PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Adapter
Operating System : Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.01.2600 Service Pack 3 (32-bit)
DirectX : Version 9.0c (May 2010)

Actually I overclocked my processor to 3.25 ghz and ordered a 2 gb 800 mhz ddr2 ram but I think it still sucks...:\ by the way my main target is having a better performance in games not like coding stuff.

If you just want increased game performance then get a new GPU, how much you willing to spend.

I am actually wondering that should I buy a ssd for places to install games ? as I know it doesnt have any effects in-game perfomance unlike loading screens.

SSDs are amazing for adding life into an old system, there's a crucial m500 240gb for $120 right now that's a really good deal and I am currently using it and am happy with the performance.

When you use a SSD, your OS and all programs go on the SSD, your HDD then becomes a storage place for movies, music, etc.

You will have to reinstall everything. Look up a guide on how to run an ACHI set up as there are a few steps to it.
