Hi everyone. I am currently finishing up a built computer and I would like a recommendation on what type of CPU to replace in the computer. My current CPU is 4 years old (AMD Phenom II) and I would like to upgrade to a good gaming CPU. My motherboard is an ASUS M5A97 EVO with 32 GB of installed RAM. I have a 450 watt power supply, which I was thinking may also need replaced. My computer lags terribly with these upgrades. Please give me your suggestions on what CPU to buy and why. Thank you for your help.

The best CPU your motherboard can support is the FX 8350.
