Help cpu compatibility

Solution

windows 7 ran pretty smooth on my old dell computer with only 1GB of ram, so I would imagine that it will work just fine. Don't expect to do much gaming however (unless you just want to play the classics).

Sorry, but no it will only work with AM2 CPU's. Unless your motherboard says that it has an AM2/AM2+ socket it will not work with AM2+ CPU's.

If your current CPU is under the max speed for an AM2 processor, then yes you will see a boost in performance. I'm just saying that an AM2+ CPU would be limited to the max speed that AM2 is able to accomplish (if that makes any sense at all, sorry for my wording :D).
