*note* Numbers don't always matter. When it comes to CPUs they have personality, an Intel Haswell i5 with 4 cores at 3.4GHz can do one task incredibly efficient and fast, for example some heavy gaming. AMD crams in a ton of big numbers just to stay relevant. Every now and then they have a CPU that can split the freakin atom compared to intel, but those are damn pricey.

there is a cooler that comes with the CPU but if you're planning on gaming (judging by the GPU I'm assuming you are) the CPU is going to need a better cooling system than the stock fan.

I am so confused about all of this. And also the reviews of that mobo are iffy towards the bottom.
This is my first custom build, I am sorry for the ignorance.

I do not care what type of mobo as long as it works with the CPU
And I am not savvy to either type of CPU, I just want it to work, and have 6 cores @3.5ghz

The only thing I care about is that I am able to have a GTX 770.

Can you help me a little bit more with this? The cheaper the better, but not to the point where it will die in 4 weeks.

No problem mate! this is fun!
I'm pretty sure that everything will fit in the case fine but I would wait until after you finish the build to buy the audio card as it might not fit with the graphics card.
