Im about to install a second 270x and am wondering do i need to do anything special or just install it and put the bridge on and fire it up and let the system do the rest. I assume that the drivers will obviously be the same although one is xfx and the other an msi but any help will be great and il keep you posted

Solution
CCC is Catalyst Control Center, the driver software with the icon in the taskbar. It should open after the first start automatically and offer you to enable Crossfire.

850 Watt is perfect for this setup, unless you have some really power hungry components.
If you want to be sure:

This tool will calculate the total wattage needed for your selected components.

Just like you described, you then have to activate Crossfire in CCC. Two different manufacturers are not a problem, the only downside is, you maybe can't use XFX or MSI graphics software.
What PSU do you have, I hope you've calculated it too?
