I have just purchased a mushkin scorpion deluxe pcie ssd. The read speeds are okay, and on par with the specs (@1600 Mb/s,), where as my write speeds are horrendous (25 Mb/s) The specs on the card are PCIe x8. I am using an asrock z87 extreme 9/ac MB, and have a GTX 770 in slot 1 (running at 16x) and the scorpion in slot 4 (not sure what it is running at, but supposed to be a 16x slot, when used with slot 1) which according to the manual should work. I have gone over most items in the bios and have had little success getting the card up to write speed. Any suggestions or tips to point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Couple of things you can try:
1.) Connect the SSD to the other PCIe slots on your board and compare benchmark results.
2.) If you installed the drivers for your SSD from the CD/DVD that came with it then try installing the drivers from Mushkin's website, which may be newer.
