it connects to my home wifi fine but if i click google chrome it doesnt work and network settings says unidentified
my laptop screen is broken and i connected it to my monitor but it connects to my wifi but wont go online to any website can y

Generally, the WiFi antennas are in the top of the screen. It's possible that the cable is damaged, so there's enough signal to connect but not to actually move data.
Grab an ethernet cable.
