I will be changing from an MSI z77a-gd65 with a 1155 cpu board to a ASUS P8Z77-V PRO LGA 1155. Will it have the same chipset so I don't have to reinstall windows?

Yes they have the same chipset. But I dont know about the reinstalling Windows, why would you have to do that in the first place? The OS is stored on the hard drive, not the motherboard. Just make sure you reset your BIOS before beginning to use your motherboard.

EDIT: Actually you may have to. Based on research, if you switch out the motherboard, Windows will fail to load due to the different drivers on the other motherboard. Also it has to adapt to the newer hardware. But in some instances, people have only had to reactivate their installation.
