Looking for input on new AMD APU based build

Hey guys,

I am looking for some input on my new build. After multiple BSODs, and an aging computer, decided to rebuild my entire system. I am reusing most components of my older setup. The only new parts will be the APU, Motherboard.

Essentially i am only spending $200 for this new build. The entire configuration is as such..

I will be using the computer with 2x 23" 1080p samsung monitors for concurrent multi tasking of
One monitor playing Counterstrike source at 1080p
the other monitor will be often used for 1080p youtube video watching

My questions are:
1) Is my PSU capable of powering this system?
2) Will the system be able to power both 1080p displays for my multitasking and usage?
3) Are there any potential bottlenecks or problems i am unaware of?

Kindly note:
I am choosing the APU because i can tag on a Graphics card in the future if i require so.
I only need it to perform the duties as per stated. Nothing more.
I am hoping with the APU as the only source of heat, i can limit total system heat output.

Do feel free to voice out your opinions, I am really looking forward to hearing what everyone thinks..

1) PSU is more than capable, will also support a mid grade dedicated gpu
2) Your motherboard supports dual-link dvi, so yes, you can hook up 2 monitors. The 6700 is more than capable of running WoW on high and streaming video on the other. Will it run warm, probably. Its as close as I can come to an answer, not having done CS Source.
3) APU's draw upon System memory as they don't have dedicated memory like a dedicated gpu. You are slowed down considerably by running 1600. For best performance 2133 is recommended. It'll work just fine, but you are only getting @70-75% of best possible, and when running dual monitors and demanding applications, that can make a difference.

Hey outlander, thanks for your input, i'm trying to stay away from a video card as much as possible as my heating solution as well as the availability to tag one on later in the future.

that being said, can i seek your expertise and opinion if the A10-6700 will be able to let me stream 1080p youtube videos on one monitor while gaming at >35fps on the other 1080p monitor?

its basically a rebadged 7770, however it is upgraded, OC, directx 11.2, eye-finity multi monitor support, yada yada yada.
I do like the APU's but if you are even thinking of adding a dedicated gpu in the future, buying an APU would be a waste of money. The 4 core Athlons will seriously outperform the APU, and any GPU you add in the future will probably 'bottleneck'. I believe APU's are great for the 'set'm and forget'm' super-tight-budget crowd who build once, then run it till it dies.

Hey CynicalAhole, I do not have a microcenter near me, however, the A10-7850 is a 100% markup from the A10-6700 which i find excessive unless it is really required.

Honestly, as much as possible, I do not intend to add a GPU, however its just an option.. And your idea of APU being a great for the 'set'm and forget'm' thing, is exactly why i was going for this APU. My main concern will the if it could display 1080 CS Source at >35fps while streaming 1080youtube videos..

Will it work? yes, you have the specs, and as I said earlier, I'm a fan of the APU, for the right circumstance. I'm not a believer that this is the right circumstance and I'd really hate to say "yes!, go for it" and it fall short of the 30+fps you are looking for. Its a lil too much of a gamble for my taste, and that's as honest as I can be.

Thanks Karadjgne, I decided to take the gamble. And have order the parts from amazon. I think worst case senario, i'll tone down the resolutions to 720p on my windows settings and the game settings.

As for the 2133MHz ram sticks, i have no issue with that, as i do not need to ship it from Amazon and my local dealer has those.. By far i think this is best answer that directly relates to my questions..
