I just purchased an R7 260X this sunday, and it won't come until tomorrow, friday. With nvidia's announcement of the 750 Ti I feel as if I made a big mistake. I didn't hear about nvidia making the 750 Ti announcement until monday, and the announcement was on tuesday, while searching I was eyeing the 650 ti, but it was way too outdated in terms of technology being utilized, so I went with the 260x. One of my big concerns was power, I only have a 450w PSU, and the 260x requires 500w, but thats playing it safe and leaves room for OCing, but I won't be OCing and i've seen build with 400w PSU running a 260x no problem, also not many components in my PC use a lot of power. But now with the 750 Ti it literally can run off of PCI power, 6 pin isn't even required where it is on the 260x, and with double performance per watt as advertised by. And there are countless new benefits to the new maxwell architecture. The only advantage AMD has is mantle, which is only working on one notable game, BF4. Now I haven't received the 260x yet, but i'm sure it will perform well, but I just feel like the 750 Ti is a more bang for your buck value. Benchmarks already show the 750 ti is better, http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html, on video card benchmark the 750 ti scores almost 1,000 or than the 260x. Now the reason i'm screwed and can't just return the 260x and get a 750 is because I bought the card off of ebay, new. Every site had the card I wanted sold out or way more than normal value. I found the card new on ebay for the same price as newegg and from a company with very good feedback. But there are no returns on ebay. And if I contact the seller to attempt a return, I wouldn't want to go threw the trouble of reshipping it and all the paypal junk. I just want to know if I made the right call, I've always been an AMD guy, and sapphire is the only brand I trust, but the optimization and technology put into the gtx cards is on the next level, and i've heard only good things about evga.

Heres the 260x I got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202051

Heres the 750 Ti I would have got: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487025

19A is the recommendation for the whole system, the 260x itself shouldn't consume more than 120W at stock levels, if your PSU is a decent unit rated above 19A for continuous operation then there wouldn't be much of a problem

Some games are AMD optimized so I wouldn't be surprised if the 260x performed better in something like BF4 for example, not to mention that the 750 Ti only just came out, launch drivers are always a bit meh

It's a 450w which I mentioned, it's a nice brand too, had great reviews when I bought it, can't remember the brand because the sticker is hidden by my case.

Well it's gonna be hard to tell because the R7 260X requires at least 19A on the 12V rail to run. The PSU "COULD" be good, but you'll never know for sure. I guess you gotta try, if your computer randomy shuts down after a while, it doesn't have enough power to run it.
