I am looking to replace my sound card due to an issue that's becoming more and more common(and I've traced it to the card is the problem for everyone so...). I'd like to at least have the same quality if not better for both the audio I hear and the transmission from my headset(mic).

Old Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro

Extra information: I mostly just use my headset(only use a pair of really old speakers when headsets break, so I don't necessarily need 5.1/7.1 support). I'm not really interested in going triple digits($100+) on a sound card unless I absolutely must.

A lot of cards I look at on newegg tend to have pretty bad reviews unless the price is astronomical($180, and even then they're only "ok"). Recommendations?

If it helps my current headset is this thing.
